Angiograms

What is an angiogram?

Often referred to as a "diagnostic" or "catheter cerebral" angiogram, this is a test that evaluates blood vessels (arteries and veins) in your head and neck by taking pictures of blood flow through the vessels. To produce the pictures, a dye is injected into the vessels via a small tube called a catheter. The dye allows us to see the pattern of blood flow in the brain.

What does it treat?

This advanced imaging of your aneurysm or AVM allows the neurovascular team to make more educated decisions about your care.
